Team Spotlight Meet Software Engineer – Mehmet Bozdoğan

We managed to shine the spotlight on Mehmet Bozdoğan who is based in Victoria, Canada with some quick fire questions to get to know him better.

Welcome to Swiss Vault Mehmet – can you tell us a bit about yourself?

I had a career path that involves state of the art technologies which require multidisciplinary study; instrumentation, control systems, hardware and software design coincide with understanding of nature in physics aspects. I consider myself lucky, to have the opportunity to do what I enjoy as a professional job. I worked on collecting data from nature via sensors and the digitization of that data. Up until now, I believe my experience  will help me on my new journey with Swiss Vault.

I feel gifted that I have such a good spouse who always loves and supports me in every decision that I make.

What do you think about Victoria? What do you enjoy the most?

Victoria is one of the most beautiful cities that I have ever been to. Its nature is amazing, as well as the people!

How did you hear about Swiss Vault?

My spouse and I had decided to move to Victoria, I was in search of a position which fits well with my background and I saw a position at Swiss Vault. After a little search on Swiss Vault, I thought it would be a great opportunity for me to not only use my experience for a good purpose but also take my career one step further.

What motivates you to work for Swiss Vault? What do you do at our company?

I like that the Swiss Vault team has a goal to produce energy efficient data storage solutions which helps to reduce the carbon footprint. I am happy to be a part of Swiss Vault team that focused on solving this challenging problem.

I am working on a project as a Software Engineer to design a reliable, resilient and scalable cluster computing solution.

What’s something most people don’t know about you?

Even if I worked as a Software Engineer in most of my career, I do have a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics Engineering, which helps me a lot to have a better understanding of the nature of problems and solve them easier.
